Founded in 1284, Peterhouse is the oldest College at Cambridge. It also has one of the smaller student populations with 250 undergraduate students, 115 postgraduate students and around 50 fellows. Placing in the top 4 of Cambridge Colleges in the Tompkins Table in both 2018 and 2019, Peterhouse has an excellent academic reputation and boasts 5 Nobel Prize Winners in Science.

Financial support | Grants are available for books related to study, learning a new language, sports-related expenses, expenses incurred in research and travel-related expenses. Scholarships and prizes are also available, with undergraduates who take a First in their first year of study being awarded over £200. Accommodation | Peterhouse offers accommodation to all undergraduate students for the duration of their studies. Rooms are fully furnished with access to shared kitchen facilities. Some rooms have en-suite bathrooms, with those that don’t coming equipped with a sink and shared bathroom facilities. Rooms vary from £955 per term to £2070 per term. Peterhouse also houses all postgraduate students for their 1-year course of for the first 3 years of PhD courses. All rooms come fully furnished and come in a variety of sizes, with some having en-suite facilities and the remainder having access to shared bathrooms. Rooms vary from £350 per month to £630 per month. |
Sports | Peterhouse students can choose from a variety of sports such as football, basketball, rowing and many more. The College has a gym on site with further facilities available a short distance away |
Welfare | A College Nurse and Wellbeing Advisor is on hand to support students with both their physical and mental wellbeing. As well as this, there are dedicated Welfare Officers and a College Counsellor to provide students with further support. Students can receive advice on personal, financial or academic issues from their College Tutor. |
