Christ Church College is one of the biggest and most reputable colleges in Oxford. Featuring five quadrangles, the College hosts the Oxford Cathedral. Like most colleges, it was founded in the sixteenth century and hosts approximately 430 students. The College has a bustling student social life from ‘bops’ held in the JCR (a privilege only some colleges have), to the annual Arts Week and the busy Buttery, a popular bar amongst Christ Church students. The College has an almost equal ratio of students from private and state schools, so you are bound to meet a variety of students from different backgrounds. The College guarantees accommodation and has reasonably priced meals too.

Most accommodation is found on the main college site, but some students live in self-catered flats a short distance away. Flats have a mix of en-suites and shared bathrooms, and a fridge is provided for each room.

Most first and third years live on-site.

The rooms cost the same and are arranged around ‘quads’ where bills are paid for. Some second and third years may live in one of the college annexes, which are accommodation buildings off the main college site.
