Corpus Christi was founded in the 16th century and remains one of Oxford’s smaller colleges, having a reputation for providing students with a vibrant close-knit community. There are approximately 83 undergraduate students, and 235 students in total. The College was originally built as a place of Renaissance to educate men about the humanities and science. Now it is a small, but friendly college with a reasonable amount of cross-year socialising so you are able to liaise with students of different ages and areas of study. The weekly Formal dinner requires no gown but is a formal suit and tie event on Fridays, if you choose to eat there. Each year, the College takes part in the Corpus Challenge where they challenge their relations in East Anglia across a range of sports. The Junior Common Room consists of social spaces and a committee which hosts many events for students to get involved in throughout the year including music, drama, daily teas and other events. The Middle Common Room is a popular venue for parties and represents the interests of graduate students.

| Accommodation | All first-year students are housed on site where most rooms are en-suite. Second, third, and fourth-year students enter a ballot to determine their residence for the next academic year. These residences consist of nine sites within a mile of the city centre. All rooms are single occupancy with shared bathrooms. Limited rooms are available to rent during term time but are subject to fees. Postgraduate students are offered rooms in shared houses off the College site. These are single study-bedrooms with shared bathrooms and kitchens. The location is ideal; the Liddell Building is close to the gym, pool and shopping area for all your grocery needs. The College operates a pay-as-you-go system and provides cafeteria-style self-service meals, and formal dinners once a week. Average meal costs can be found on the college website. | Sports | Corpus Christi College has its own well-equipped boathouse on the river close to the college. Additionally, there is a shared sports ground with equipment for many different sports. The college offers free membership to the university gym and boasts its own college gym. During the summer, croquet is played in the magnificent Corpus garden. |
