    A bit about you

    I’ve been interested by the complicated dynamics of world events since I was a youngster. Growing up in a multicultural setting taught me personally the importance of diplomacy and collaboration in moulding our world. This fueled my ambition to comprehend the complexity of international relations and contribute to the creation of a more peaceful and prosperous global society.

    What was your favourite part about the international relations summer school?

    The engaging and thought-provoking talks that took place during the seminar sessions were probably my favourite aspect of the International Relations summer school. The chance to interact with kids from all origins and share our opinions on global concerns was extremely fascinating.
    Every day, we dug deep into themes like international security, global governance, and diplomatic discussions. The lecturers’ passion and knowledge took us through complicated theories and real-world case studies, pushing us to critically analyse and discuss the complexities of international relations. It was fascinating to see how many perspectives and methods arose from our talks, creating a lively and intellectually engaging environment.

    A bit about you

    I am writing to convey my strong desire to study International Relations at the esteemed University of Cambridge. My interest in global events, as well as my ambition to have a meaningful effect on the globe, have motivated my desire to further my study in this sector.

    What was your favourite part about the International Relations summer school?

    The summer school provided a unique forum for us to exchange ideas, challenge one another’s perspectives, and collaborate on challenging global challenges. Seeing how much enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity each member brought to the table was encouraging.
    The simulation exercises, in which we recreated diplomatic conversations and crisis scenarios, were one of the program’s highlights. These activities enabled us to put our theoretical knowledge into practice, sharpening our negotiating and diplomacy abilities. It was an exciting experience to put myself in the shoes of diplomats and engage in heated arguments to discover diplomatic answers to diverse global concerns.

    How did it help with your Oxbridge International Relations application?

    Speaking with the International Relations students provided me confidence while preparing my school application. I had so many experiences to discuss in my personal statement and interview that I felt really prepared while speaking with the admissions tutors.

    We provide a summer school for students of all ages. Do you want to attend a year 12 International Relations summer school? Check out our 16-18 Cambridge Summer School, which is designed for students who are due to apply this year or will apply the next year. If you are seeking for a summer school for 14-16 year olds, please contact one of our advisers and we will gladly assist you.

    Every phase of your application process will benefit from our Cambridge summer school for international relations, you'll discover. Your personal statement should express how your experiences have strengthened your desire to study international relations. During your interview, you will think back on your experience, and you'll put the information you learn to use as soon as you start studying international relations!
    → Are international students eligible to apply? If so, are there any additional requirements?
    Absolutely! We can arrange airport transfers and accommodation if you are joining us from abroad. You will need to double-check with your government body as to whether you will require a visa to travel. If you are unsure or would like support in organising this, please contact our advisors and we would be happy to help!
    → What is the policy for refunds or cancellations if I can't attend after registering?
    When you register for our International Relations summer school, you will be asked to pay a £500 non-refundable deposit to secure your place. We do understand that circumstances may arise which could mean you are unable to attend your chosen date. If this is the case, please contact our advisors who will be able to advise you as to whether you are able to amend your date. Please note however, due to the high demand in places, this may not be possible.
