A bit about you
A lot of people were surprised when I decided to study Philosophy, but for me it seemed like a natural choice. I wanted to study a subject that allowed me to explore many different areas and follow my interests as they developed. The supervision structure of learning at Cambridge is ideal for a subject like Philosophy and this is what motivated me to apply.

How did it help with your Oxbridge application?
The tutoring helped specifically with preparations for the written assessment. My school hadn’t had anyone take this exam before and were not very helpful. I’m very glad I found Oxbridge Mind as their support was top level.
A bit about you
I visited Cambridge with my school in Year 11 and ever since then it has been a goal of mine to get a place. When I got my interview invitation I was incredibly nervous as the idea of talking or debating with senior academics was very out of my comfort zone.

How did it help with your Oxbridge application?
My tutor thoroughly prepared me for my interview at Cambridge. It was helpful that she had “insider” information having interviewed at my college a few years prior. The mock interviews with her were realistic and introduced me to some concepts that I ended up talking about in my real interviews.

I come from a family that doesn’t have much experience going to university, so when my school suggested Cambridge to me they wanted to do everything they could to support my application.

The programme was great! My tutor was able to answer all the questions I had and was very patient – even though looking back now I was asking some silly questions! Not only that but the test and interview preparation was excellent and I felt confident going forward.
