A bit about you
I have wanted to be a vet for as long as I can remember – so I guess you could say this has been my childhood dream. When I was picking which universities to apply to I completely fell for the idyllic picturesque Cambridge lifestyle. I decided quite late to apply here so I wanted some extra help to strengthen my application under a short timeframe.
How did you find the programme?
My school has been recommending the Medicine programme for years, so I looked if they offered vet too.
How did it help with your Oxbridge application?
The programme was very well structured. At every stage of the application my tutor was incredibly knowledgeable and put me at ease. The interview preparation was also useful for my applications to other vet schools.
A bit about you
I come from a family of doctors so my application to vet school was somewhat of a surprise! I wasn’t too sure about Cambridge to start with but the minute I visited the campus I was blown away and couldn’t imagine myself studying anywhere else.

I saw some adverts online in various places.
How did it help with your Oxbridge application?
I liked how my tutor spent time understanding me and what I wanted to get out of the sessions. The programme was personalised to my needs and this meant I got the maximum possible out of the time.

Science has always been my strongest subject and my school arranged a careers fair in Year 10 during which I got talking to a vet. After some work experience I decided this is the career for me and where else would you want to study but Cambridge!

It helped in so many ways it would be hard to write. The biggest thing it helped with was my confidence. The tutor was good at giving critical comments in a positive way which helped me without making me feel overwhelmed or that this was an unachievable goal.
