Worcester College was founded in the 18th century and is known for its 26 acres of beautiful grounds featuring numerous green spaces, ducks, an orchard, and the College sports field. The College values welfare very highly and has a number of avenues of support for College members with any kind of problem. There are generally 3 bops a term, where two take place in the college bar, and the third takes place in a club. Other regular social events include themed evenings, comedy nights, and charity auctions amongst other events.

Accommodation | Homerton College offers undergraduate students accommodation for the full duration of their degree. Students will be housed in one of the blocks of accommodation on the Hills Road site, which includes fully furnished rooms and access to shared kitchens. Most rooms are en-suite, with the option to be housed in accommodation with shared bathrooms. Accommodation for postgraduate students is on the College’s main site, and Homerton College offers rooms to all full-time postgraduates. Most of these rooms are self-catered and en-suite, although there are other options available. |
Sports | Homerton College has a 24-hour gym and a fully furnished dance studio. There are also outdoor grounds where students can play football, tennis and other sports. The Hills Road sports centre is located close to the Homerton College site and gives students access to tennis surfaces, squash courts, indoor cricket nets and a sports hall. |
Welfare | Every student is assigned a College tutor to help them navigate university life and assimilate to their new surroundings. Tutors can give both academic and non-academic advice, as well as direct students to further resources. The Student Health Advisor is a trained nurse and can help to support students in concerns with their physical and mental wellbeing. A College counsellor is also on hand to provide confidential counselling in a relaxed setting. |
