St Catherine’s College was founded in the 19th century and is the youngest and largest undergraduate college in Oxford. All 3 years of undergraduates live together on site, which creates a communal and lively atmosphere. The architecture is the most modern and minimalist of all the colleges and was designed by the main founder, Lord Alan Bullock, who went on to become the first master of the college. Affectionately known as St Catz, the JCR is a bustling and popular student hub and the college has the largest bar in Oxford.
