When Will You Receive Your Medical School Offer?

3 min read

Waiting for medical school offer to be sent out can be a very nerve wracking and anxiety inducing experience. Once you’ve finished your interviews, you could also be waiting between two weeks to six months to hear back from the medical schools you applied to.

This may lead to frequently engaging in Student Room forums, anxiously checking your emails, and constantly refreshing your UCAS application page. It can also feel disheartening when people you know have received offers while you’re still waiting in the dark.

Medical schools send offers at different times depending on their application timeline, including when they sent out interview invitations, when interviews were held, and formal decisions. Timelines can also vary year on year, depending on additional unforeseen circumstances.

To learn more about the general pattern of sending medical offers, keep reading.

If the date passes and you still haven’t received a response, students are also able to email the admissions team to gain more information. Apart from this, checking with your friends or other applicants who you know have applied is also a useful way to track updates in regards to applications.
